AI & Automated Systems Disclosure
Kooler Garage Doors believes you should always know when you're talking to a person and when you're talking to a machine. This page explains, in plain language, how we use artificial intelligence (AI) and automated systems when you interact with us — what they do, what they don't do, the human oversight behind them, and your rights. We publish this voluntarily and to align with current federal and state transparency expectations, including the Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act and the consumer-protection standards of the Federal Trade Commission. We Got You.
Where We Use AI
You may interact with an AI or automated system in the following places:
- Website chat assistant — the chat tool on this website is powered by artificial intelligence. It can answer questions about our services, pricing, and scheduling, and help you start a booking. When you use it, you are interacting with an AI assistant, not a live human agent.
- Phone assistance — some incoming calls may be answered or assisted by an AI voice assistant that can share information and help you book a visit. If you reach our AI assistant by phone, it will identify itself, and you can ask for a human at any time.
- Automated text messages (SMS) — appointment reminders, confirmations, and service notifications may be sent through an automated messaging system, with your consent. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
- Behind the scenes — we may use AI tools to help draft communications, organize scheduling, and summarize requests so our team can serve you faster and more accurately.
What Our AI Does — and Does Not — Do
Our AI and automated systems are assistants. They help you get information and get booked. They are not the ones who fix your door — every service is performed by a real, trained Kooler Kraftsman, and the important judgment calls stay with people.
- Human in the loop. No final pricing of your job, no diagnosis of your door, and no consequential decision about your service is made solely by an automated system without a qualified human being involved. A Kraftsman inspects your door in person and you approve a binding price before any work begins.
- No legal, medical, or financial advice. Our AI provides general information only. It is not a substitute for professional advice.
- No solely-automated decisions about you. We do not use AI to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you — such as eligibility, credit, employment, or denial of service — on a fully automated basis without human review.
- It can be wrong. AI can occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete answers. For anything that matters — a firm quote, a warranty question, a safety concern — please confirm with a human at 970-660-3456.
Reaching a Human
You always have the right to talk to a person. At any point — in chat, on the phone, or by text — you can ask for a human, and we will connect you. You can also skip the automated tools entirely and reach a real Kraftsman directly:

Information Our AI Processes
When you use our AI chat or messaging tools, the system processes what you type or say and any contact details you provide (such as your name, phone number, email, and service address) so it can respond and help schedule your service. This information is handled under our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to request deletion. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it to make discriminatory decisions about you.
Fairness, Safety & Oversight
We work to use AI responsibly. That means keeping a human accountable for the systems we deploy, choosing reputable providers, limiting what data the tools can access to what they need to help you, and reviewing the tools so they treat every customer fairly regardless of who they are. If you believe an automated interaction treated you unfairly or produced a harmful result, please tell us — we want to know, and we will look into it.
Alignment With Federal & State Standards
This disclosure reflects our effort to meet evolving AI transparency and consumer-protection expectations at both the federal and state level, including:
- Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act — Colorado's framework for transparency and consumer protection around AI systems, including the duty to disclose when consumers are interacting with an AI system. Kooler Garage Doors operates in Colorado and works to align with this law as it takes effect.
- Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act, Section 5 — the prohibition on unfair or deceptive practices. We disclose our use of AI plainly so you are never misled about whether you're dealing with a machine or a person.
- State automated-communication and "bot disclosure" principles — where applicable, we identify automated systems and do not impersonate a human to influence a transaction.
As AI laws and agency guidance continue to develop, we will update this disclosure to keep it current. If you represent a federal or state agency and have a question about our use of automated systems, contact us at matt@koolergaragedoors.com.
Changes to This Disclosure
We may update this AI disclosure from time to time as our tools or the law change. The current version is always posted here with the "Last updated" date above.
