What moves the price

The opener you choose sets the price. Everything below is one installed number — operator, install, and haul-away.

The Door Score sets your exact price

Ranges tell you the neighborhood. The Door Score tells you your number. Every Kooler Kraftsman runs the same structured on-site read — door vitals, the operator, insulation, seals, rollers, hinges, and counterbalance — before any work starts.

That read is what makes the on-site price binding: no surprise add-ons, and you get Good / Better / Best options based on what the door actually needs. No diagnostic fee for the visit.

Who's doing the work

IDEA-certified Kraftsmen on staff

Colorado doesn't license garage-door contractors — so the credential that matters is the one the technician earns. Our Kraftsmen carry individual IDEA certifications from the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation, the certification arm of the International Door Association. Kooler is a Raynor Premier Authorized Dealer, an IDA Preferred Provider, bonded and insured.

It's our standard to certify every Kraftsman within their first 12 months. They start in our apprenticeship, then work toward certification — IDEA certifies a technician for residential after a year in the field, and the same for commercial.

Master-certified on staff. When a Kraftsman stacks all three IDEA certifications — Residential Sectional, Commercial Sectional, and Commercial Rolling — they become a Master Certified Technician. Pascual Ramos holds all three — one of only two Master Certified technicians on the Western Slope.

Opener installation FAQ

How much does a garage door opener cost installed?
At Kooler, an installed opener runs $924 to $1,628 — one price covering the operator, professional installation, and haul-away of the old unit. The Kooler 2060 starts at $924; the connected, camera-equipped models and the wall-mount Prodigy 3 run higher. Your Kraftsman confirms the exact price on-site.
What's the difference between the models?
The Kooler 2060 (a German-built Sommer Direct Drive) is our quiet, reliable workhorse from $924 with a lifetime motor warranty. The Kooler Sentinel and Sentinel 360 add battery backup, a built-in camera, and bright LED lighting. The wall-mount Kooler Prodigy 3 frees up ceiling space and adds an automatic deadbolt. A Kraftsman helps you match the opener to your door and how you use it.
Does the price include installation and haul-away?
Yes. The installed price is one number — the operator, the professional install by a Kraftsman, and haul-away of your old opener. No surprise add-ons; the Door Score sets the binding price on-site.
Do you install any brand of opener?
We install LiftMaster and Sommer — the two lines we stand behind and stock parts for. Standardizing on them is how we keep quality high and service fast, rather than installing whatever's cheapest that week.
How long does opener installation take?
A straightforward opener swap is typically done in about an hour to ninety minutes from our Kraftsmen's experience. New wiring or a wall-mount conversion takes a bit longer. Your Kraftsman gives you the honest time when they quote it.
